Owens & Minor and Healthcare Supplier Diversity Alliance Announce 2024 Supplier Diversity Awards

Awards were handed out for Diverse Enterprise of the Year, Large Corporation of the Year, and Civic Leader of the Year.

Owens & Minor and the Healthcare Supplier Diversity Alliance (HSDA) have announced the winners of the 2024 Supplier Diversity Awards.

The Diverse Enterprise of the Year award was given to MYCO Medical, which is an “NMSDC Certified, Minority Owned Business.” The company “is a disposable medical device supplier with over 32 years of experience in the healthcare industry” and they supply nearly 200 million products to healthcare facilities annually.”

The Large Corporation of the Year award went to HonorHealth, which is “one of the largest non-profit healthcare systems in Arizona, serving more than five million people in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area.” They launched a new Supplier Diversity Program in 2022 and have “dedicated their workforce and financial resources to ensure the sustainability of their diverse and inclusive supplier initiative.”

The Civic Leader of the Year award was presented to Manwell Bynum, the head of business acceleration for Atrium Health. Bynum “ensures that Atrium Health’s economic mobility and inclusive purchasing decisions are both economically viable and socially equitable, bolstering local and national spending in communities with the highest needs. [He] also oversees enterprise business diversity strategy, sustainable sourcing, and economic mobility efforts, including the Pearl Innovation District and the Atrium Health Center of Business Diversity and Entrepreneurship.”
