Alabama-Based Jackson Hospital Names Medline Their Primary EVS Supplier
Jackson Hospital, a not-for-profit community acute care facility in Montgomery, Alabama, has “named Medline its primary supplier for environmental services (EVS) products.” Medline's website has the release.
While Medline has been Jackson Health’s “medical-surgical prime vendor partner for more than nine years,” this agreement opens up new paths for the partnership. Mark Yarema, director of materials management for Jackson Hospital, praised Medline for their delivery of supplies across Alabama “even during hurricane season.”
Medline will provide Jackson Hospital with “a broad range of high-quality products and services designed to enhance cleanliness, safety and operational efficiency across the hospital’s facilities. The partnership also will include access to Medline’s…online platform, ensuring that Jackson Hospital has real-time visibility into product availability, ordering and analytics, empowering its staff to focus on patient care.”
Some benefits of the partnership include Jackson Hospital being included in “Medline’s manufacturer-direct pricing model, reduced distribution fees, and maximized rebates,” as well as product standardization that will “help Jackson Hospital reduce its number of SKUs, minimize its risk of products reaching expiration, and increase its bulk purchasing under better rates.”
