On Jan. 23, the American Hospital Associated published a “Trailblazers” report entitled, “Streamlining Supply Chain Practices as Health Systems Expand.” The report identifies ways that hospitals and health systems have been successfully combatting today’s supply chain challenges.
A press release on the report says that “These organizations are focusing on three key areas: people, processes and technology to help standardize operations, eliminate redundancy and increase operational efficiency.”
Additionally, the report includes case studies on Munson Healthcare in Traverse City, Michigan, and BJC HealthCare in St. Louis, Missouri, detail how supply chain leaders are addressing issues such as staffing, ensuring product availability, technology compatibility across health systems, data quality and product variation.
The report is sponsored by Amazon Business.
