Age: 30
Hometown: Born and raised in Newnan, GA now live in Villa Rica, GA ever since getting out of the Navy
Alma Matter: South University and Liberty University
Number of Years of Experience in Healthcare: 12 years in healthcare, 6 in Healthcare Administration
Someone You Look Up to in the Industry: There are too many to list, but a couple is my mother, Amanda Thomas, who has worked her way up from a surgical tech for years, and now manages all the eye services at multiple university locations. Dr. Christopher Powell MD, who was the first Doctor I worked with out of the Navy and I was his first tech out of residency, so we kind of grew up together in real world medicine. Michelle Wright and Denise Martin, 2 administrators I have worked for and both exemplify what it means to be a strong, efficient and successful healthcare administrator. And finally, Dr. Keith Berry MD and Lauren Yancey MD for taking a chance on me for a role that I had never done, but has allowed me to grow exponentially in the healthcare field, as well as still proving private owned groups can still be just as or more successful in a world of PE if you have the right owners with the right team in place!
Favorite Hobby: Spending time with my family, golf, and anything to do with Georgia Football
Favorite Movie of All-Time: Either Forrest Gump or Tombstone
Favorite Band or Musician: This changes constantly, but right now probably Teddy Swims and Zach Bryan
Your Favorite thing about healthcare: The ability to make a difference in people's lives form patients to employees. Having the opportunity to never stop learning or growing and using that information to make differences. Having the ability to make decisions and be a part of life changing and life altering care for people, and being able to learn information and use that information to reassure and comfort people during these times.
