Digital respiratory management

The Midmark Digital Spirometer helps provide early detection, disease management and status of treatment of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other respiratory illnesses. The spirometer works with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. The IQmanager software populates patient race, age, sex and height information from the EMR and then transfers test data back into the EMR to reduce transcription errors and missing reports. The device uses the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease classification for the diagnosis and management of COPD. Technician and patient coaching videos, including patient demonstrations and testing techniques, are accessible from the main testing screen in the software.

Remote healthcare monitoring

The Zyter Home Health and Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) supports patients at home to actively manage their chronic conditions and interact with their care teams. The RPM is integrated with the company’s digital health platform and tracks data from a blood pressure cuff, pulse oximeter, digital weight scale, or blood glucose monitor. Device readings from FDA-approved wearable devices include meal tagging and other  patient-generated data, activity checklists and surveys for patient participation, and self-care and self-triage using smart exams. Paired with Zyter’s Telehealth product, patients can sync their data while tracking progress toward their clinical goals.

Range of motion imaging

A new digital tool aids in streamlining Penning Analysis, which determines range of motion in a patient’s cervical spine. Once the digital images are acquired and sent to Opal-Chiro, the user selects the tool and annotates the image with the key areas to measure. The software calculates the patient’s flexion to neutral and neutral to extension. Normal values derived from peer-reviewed literature are provided for comparison and any deviations are listed. The software also provides alteration of motion segment integrity, an American Medical Association-validated method for locating, substantiating and objectively demonstrating the severity of spinal subluxation and any accompanying soft tissue damage.
