Automated urine chemistry analysis
Sysmex America, Inc. announced an exclusive agreement with Siemens Healthineers that grants North American rights to distribute and service Siemens Healthineers CLINITEK Novus Automated Urine Analyzer for hospital and reference laboratory use. CLINITEK Novus combines dry-pad urine chemistry technology and a cassette test format to help ensure maximum productivity and standardized testing. The analyzer offers a full spectrum of chemistry strip tests and easy-to-use, “load-and-go” test cassettes. Sysmex America will distribute it as part of its portfolio of UN-Series instruments and as a stand-alone product.
Portable endoscope video imaging
Healthmark Industries announced the addition of the EndoProCam portable endoscope video system to its ProSys Optical Inspection product line. EndoPro-Cam provides 1080p high resolution HD imagining for inspection of rigid scopes to check if the devices are damaged. This lightweight, ergonomic system adapts to any C-Mount coupler and allows for image capture and recording after cleaning and prior to further processing. It features a 4.3 Inch LCD monitor, a Micro SD card slot, a Micro USB port, a Mini HDMI port, a rechargeable Li-ion battery power bank and a Mini HDMI cable for secondary monitor usage. Additionally, it comes with a camera stand with a test pattern card affixed to it, which allows for the determination of resolution and color bars to check for dark spots.
