Premier outlines policy solutions to advance value-based care and interoperability
In a letter to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator Chiquita Brooks-LaSure, Premier voiced support for several of the Administration’s key policy priorities and offered views, expertise and recommendations for achieving and sustaining better care at lower costs, announced the company.
Premier’s detailed recommendations are aimed at moving the nation’s healthcare system to one that is focused on patient wellness, innovation, competition and equity. Specifically, Premier outlined policy solutions to:
· Continue the drive to value-based care, including specific reforms to improve existing models and scaling innovative alternative payment approaches that allow providers to be in the driver’s seat of care transformation; and
· Reduce barriers to interoperability and improve data collection to enhance real-time outcomes.
