Healthcare Purchasing News has been honoring Supply Chain departments consistently and exclusively for 20 consecutive years. Here’s a look back at the winning departments, which spanned large and urban facilities and healthcare systems to small and suburban hospitals, along with honorable mentions and finalists. From a regional perspective through 2023, nine have hailed from the East Coast (three from Pennsylvania), one from the West Coast and 10 from nine states in between (with Tennessee claiming two of that total). Prior to recognizing Supply Chain departments, HPN saluted Supply Chain department leaders for 15 consecutive years with a three-year gap between the annual individual and department awards.
