On April 30, Medline announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the global surgical solutions business of Ecolab, Inc., including the Microtek product lines. Once closed, the acquisition will provide Medline with sterile drape solutions for surgeons, patients, and operating room equipment, as well as Ecolab’s fluid temperature management system.
A press release on the agreement says that the acquisition creates an opportunity to support Medline’s OEM customers—providing products to protect patients and equipment in surgical suites.

Subject to standard closing conditions and regulatory approvals, the transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2024.
